5-Year Warranty For Afghan and Persian Hand-Knotted Rugs
At Mahvash Rugs Ltd, we are committed to preserving the craftsmanship and quality of traditional Afghan and Persian hand-knotted rugs. Unless otherwise stated, we offer a 5-year warranty from the date of purchase (invoice date) for these rugs.
What’s Covered
This warranty applies exclusively to new Afghan and Persian hand-knotted rugs purchased directly from Mahvash Rugs. It guarantees the durability of the rug’s knots, fringes, and pile under normal domestic use.
What’s Not Covered
The warranty does not apply to:
- Machine-made, tufted, dye sublimation, loom-knotted, or woven rugs
- Damage resulting from improper care, misuse, or excessive wear
- Issues caused by spills, stains, pet damage, chemical exposure, or external cleaning services
- General wear and tear from commercial or outdoor use
- Natural variations in colour, texture, or signs of ageing due to the handmade nature of the rug
Your statutory rights under UK consumer law remain fully intact and are not affected by this warranty.

Following an assessment by our experts, we will either:
- Repair your rug at no cost, or
- Replace it with an equivalent piece (in coordination with you), if repair is not viable
